This is an introductory course on Terraform (http://terraform.io) dedicated on working with AWS resources. Over a time span of 2 days, (7+1 hours/day) the course will cover the foundational knowledge of virtual infrastructure and Hashicorp's Terraform toolset for infrastructure automation. The training will cover the AWS, with a wide array of examples. The training's focus is on learning Terraform's concepts and syntax and on applying this knowledge to create and update working configurations. Further expansion of a virtual deployment is covered through the use of functions, provisioners and data sources. Moving forward with more advanced features, the course will cover methods of writing more efficient code and working with multiple environments, by introducing variables, modules and managing state files. For the core theoretical components of the course, students will have the opportunity to apply the learned skills in hands-on labs designed for direct interaction with AWS using Terraform.
